Biography

Date and place of birth: February 25^th, 1965, Belgrade.

She completed primary school and secondary school of architecture in Belgrade. She graduated on January 27^th, 1989 from the Faculty of Geography of the University of Belgrade – Department of Spatial Planning and earned the title of Graduate Spatial Planner. Topic of the thesis: Cartographic Analysis of the Population and Settlements under the Spatial Plan of the Municipality of Arandjelovac. She received her Academic Master’s Degree on January 27^th, 2004 from the Faculty of Geography of the University of Belgrade – Department of Social Geography – Population and obtained the academic title of Master of Geography. Master’s thesis topic: Agricultural Population and Agricultural Households of Belgrade – Demographic Analysis and Cartographic Modelling. She received her Doctorate on November 10^th, 2010 from the Faculty of Geography of the University of Belgrade – field of Cartography. Promoted to the scientific title of Doctor of Geography on March 15^th, 2011. Topic of doctoral dissertation: Cartographic Design of Complex Geographic Atlases.

She has been employed at the Faculty of Geography at the University of Belgrade since 1992. Over the period 1992-2005, she was employed as a professional associate in the Cartographic Laboratory. On December 1^st, 2005, she was elected to the position of assistant at the Faculty of Geography, University of Belgrade, for the narrower scientific field of Cartography. On April 9^th, 2013, she was elected to the position of assistant professor at the Faculty of Geography, University of Belgrade, for the narrower scientific field of Cartography. To the position of associate professor at the Faculty of Geography, University of Belgrade, for the narrower scientific field of Cartography, she was elected on October 04^th, 2018. She is a member of the Department of Cartography. She is engaged in undergraduate, Master’s and Doctoral studies at the Faculty of Geography of the University of Belgrade in the following subjects: Cartography (UAS Geography), Atlas Cartography (UAS Geography), Thematic Cartography (UAS Geography), Applied Cartography (UAS Tourism), Applied Cartography (UAS Demography), School Cartography (MAS Geography), Cartographic Visualization and Map Design (MAS Geography), Methodology of Cartographic Research (DAS Geography) and Cartographic Generalization – Lectures (DAS Geography). During the period 2015-2018, 2018-2021 and 2021-2022, she was the Head of the Cartographic Laboratory of the Faculty of Geography at the University of Belgrade. She was the Head of the Cartography Department of the Faculty of Geography, University of Belgrade in the period 2018-2020 and 2021-present.

Member of the Serbian Geographical Society

So far, she has published 85 scientific and professional papers in domestic and foreign journals and participated in 62 scientific meetings in the country and abroad. She was a mentor of 7 and a committee member of 8 final theses at UAS, and mentor of 7 and 23 final theses at MAS.
