Biography

Tijana Jakovljevic (maiden name Lezaic) finished the Ninth Gymnasium “Mihailo Petrovic Alas” in Belgrade. She completed undergraduate study of Geospatial and Environmental Science with 9.7/10 GPA and she is awarded with The Student of the Generation in study program Geospatial and Environmental Science Award. Tijana got master diploma of the same study program with 10/10 GPA in 2017 and she started PhD study in Geosciences. She has been student teaching assistant since 2016 in several courses in study programs of Geospatial and Environmental Science, Geography, Spatial Planning and Tourism. In October 2020 she was elected to the position of Assistant, Department of Physical Geography. She was a scholar of Ministry of Youth and Sports and Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development (on project 176008 “Development Programs for the Revitalization of Villages in Serbia”).

She was a teacher of Geography in an international school and she taught Key stage 3, IGCSE and A Level (Cambridge Education System). She has been a coordinator of many projects of NGOs. “Forest and Climate” project was recognized as an innovative solution and was awarded with European Youth Award and World Summit Award. Many students of Faculty of Geography were part of the team that developed the solution. Tijana is an author of “Five minutes Geography” episodes on Brainz TV.

She participated in many courses, trainings, summer schools, as for example:

    1. „Train the Trainers course on the use of the C3S Climate Data Store“ in Netherlands, that was organized by Copernicus ESA program, University of Wageningen, University of Leeds and The Royal Netherlands Meteorological Institute
    2. Summer school „Wood Construction and Climate Change Mitigation“ that was by Aalto University in Helsinki and Chalmers University in Goteborg.
    3. Summer school about climate change „The Innospace Journey“ in Bologna, Lund and Leiden that was organized by Climate KIC European Institute of Innovation and Technology and Copernicus program of European Space Agency.
