Biography

Date and place of birth: 15.08.1982. Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina)

Rajko Golić attended elementary school in Sarajevo and Sremčica, and high school in Vlasenica (Republic of Srpska). He completed his geography studies at the Faculty of Geography in Belgrade in 2005, with an average grade of 9.58. Rajko Golić completed his magister’s studies at the Faculty of Geography in Belgrade, majoring in Regional Geography, in 2010, when he defended his magister’s thesis “Natural Potentials in the Function of Regional Development of the Municipality of Mali Zvornik”. He defended his doctoral dissertation “Srpska Crna Gora – contemporary geographical changes in the function of regional development” in 2016. In 2011, Rajko Golić was elected to the position of assistant for the scientific field of Regional Geography, to the position of assistant professor in 2017, and to the position of associate professor in 2022. He participated in 24 domestic and international scientific conferences, published 80 scientific and professional works, one university textbook, two textbooks for primary school and one textbook for secondary school. Rajko Golić is the author and organizer of two accredited seminars for geography teachers. He is currently the head of the Department of Regional Geography at the Faculty of Geography (2018-)
