Циљ предмета
Acquire relevant knowledge of the core components of a sustainable city.
Understand theories and concepts of evolutionary economic geography and their relationship to urban sustainability and resilience.
Enable students to independently assess urban transport problems and the effectiveness of measures to address them.
Develop a critical perspective on housing systems. Enable students to apply their knowledge of contemporary housing processes, such as segregation and gentrification, in the public and private sectors.
Enable students to question unsustainable dimensions of contemporary urban development and actively participate in shaping a sustainable urban future.
Critically evaluate the role of different interest groups in the context of sustainable urban
Исход предмета
At the end of the programme, students will be able to:
-Understand the theoretical foundations of sustainable urban development;
-Explain the dialectic between urban development and urban sustainability;
-Critically evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of different approaches to achieving a sustainable city;
-Evaluate urban conditions from the perspectives and needs of different social categories and groups and society as a whole;
-Evaluate the dimensions of an equitable urban system;
-Evaluate the role of stakeholders in sustainable urban development;
-Apply both quantitative and qualitative methods and techniques to effectively assess sustainable urban development.
