Циљ предмета

This subject is an introduction to the major topics in climate change, including the scientific basis of the greenhouse effect, the causes and consequences of climate change; the history of Earth’s climate, future climate; the national and international legal frameworks for the management of climate change including climate justice; adaptation and mitigation strategies as well as climate change policy and social change.

Исход предмета

Acquire knowledge about the basics of climate change, its causes and consequences, future climate changes;
Understand the basics of interaction between the atmosphere, ocean and land surface;
Define and identify the disciplinary foundation of key terms, concepts and theories of climate change knowledge.
Demonstrate the ability to critically analyse information on climate change through written and oral communication activities.
Describe the impacts of climate change for agriculture, forestry, ecosystems, water resources and human health.
Assess the cross-sectoral impacts of climate change in designated areas
Select and apply relevant scientific tools to analyze the options, constraints, costs and benefits for climate change adaptation.
Compare different climate change mitigation strategies and climate change policy options.
