Циљ предмета
Acquisition of advanced knowledge and skills about the importance of cartographic research methods in presenting and analyzing components of geospatial content for scientific and practical needs. Identifying and integrating geospatial data and relevant time-spatial patterns with geovisual techniques, using different types of maps, in order to achieve a holistic approach to solving problems and finding effective solutions to issues of sustainable development.
Исход предмета
Application of cartographic scientific-applicative knowledge about analytical reasoning with spatial information through: adequate cartographic method of visualization and design when making maps independently; analytical reasoning in order to discover patterns and predict future outcomes using spatial data; acquiring knowledge and skills in applying the technique of coordinated cartographic display.
Садржај предмета
- Map – compass and means of integration, visualization and management of geospatial data. Importance of cartography for social, economic and environmental challenges.
- Visualization of geographical space using the cartographic method. Map content elements.
- Data selection and criteria for their selection – identification of sources of relevant geodata sets and spatial-temporal patterns. Selection of mapping methods and definition of data processing methods for cartographic presentation of thematic content. Map legend.
