Циљ предмета
The aim of field work is to empower students to apply the acquired theoretical knowledge during their studies in the field itself. Field work enables the collection of basic information about the researched area, which will be used for further analytical processes. The field work course aims to train students in the basics of field research, so that they are ready to collect the necessary information on their own in the field. The collected information is related to all aspects of the environment. Also, by spending several days in the field, students will be indirectly familiar with the organization of field work and will learn all stages of its preparation.
Исход предмета
After successful completion of this course students are expected to be able to:
• independently organize and conduct field work;
• making a map (analog and digital) on the ground,
• keep a diary of field research;
• perform independent measurements in the field – using basic and modern methods (metric characteristics, positioning, meteorological and hydrological measurements in the environment, etc.)
• take samples from soil, water or air;
• making field photographs (from the ground and from the air) and analyzing them photogrammetrically;
• collect basic data about the natural and social environment.

Practical learning
1. Making drawings and sketches in the field; 2. Field mapping (analog and GIS mapping); 3. Sampling; 4. Analog and laser measurements (metric characteristics, slope, positioning, meteorological and hydrological characteristics); 5. Methods of collecting basic geological, geomorphological and ecological characteristics of the researched terrain; 6. Methods of collecting social characteristics of the researched terrain.
