Poziv na predavanje: Geodesign retrospective and prospective by Michele Campagna
PLACE: Faculty of Geography, Studentski trg 3/III, room 1, 11000 Belgrade
TIME: Thursday, November 9, 2023, 17:00-18:30 CET
Geodesign (design at geographic scale) provides a collaborative approach which seeks to integrate multiple disciplines and uses geographical information systems (GIS)-based analytic and design tools to help explore alternative future scenarios in response to stated problems. Where conventional discipline-based approaches have not adequately addressed the transdisciplinary problems we face, Geodesign offers a holistic and innovative approach to identify solutions to these complex challenges (International Geodesign Collaboration, 2023).
Michele Campagna is Professor of Spatial Planning at the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering and Architecture of the University of Cagliari, where he teaches Geodesign. Author of over 140 publications, his research concerns the use of Information and Communication Technology in Spatial planning, Planning Support Systems, Metaplanning, Volunteered and Social media Geographic information, and Geodesign. He is coordinator of the Thematic Group New Technology and Planning at the Association of the European Schools of Planning (AESOP). He is a member of the International Geodesign Collaboration.
Our guest, Michele Campagna, will present past and possible future Geodesign research, education and practice.
The event will begin with a welcome note by prof. Tijana Dabović. Tijana Dabović is Associate Professor at the University of Belgrade – Faculty of Geography. She is the European Representative in the International Geodesign Collaboration and Chair of the AESOP Excellence in Education Board.
